The main difference is the static sitemap will not update until you edit it, but in the case of a dynamic sitemap, it will get updated without needing anyone.

Disadvantages of Static Sitemap,

  • Hard to maintain whenever you post a new blog, you need to edit this sitemap manually, and you can imagine how painful it is to update the sitemap when you make any changes.

Advantages of Dynamic Sitemap,

  • Easier to maintain, in case you are using WordPress, then rank math will manage for you.

  • Requires programming skills to create a dynamic sitemap, and if you are using WordPress, then rank math will manage for you.

  • Not easier to set up if you do not have proper knowledge about it.
